Welcome!  I’m so glad you are here.  Coffee After Kids was created to share my quick, simple family recipes. I love getting to know my readers so please feel free to leave comments, email me, or follow me on social media.    


Hi!  I’m Brandy.  I am a wife, mom, and step-mom.  I love to cook and have learned everything I know from just reading, watching videos, and trial/error.  I like sharing recipes that anyone can make, even those that don’t think they can cook.

I meal plan/prep almost every week for my family.  It has saved me so much time, money, and calories!  I’m working on several things to share my tips, tricks, advice, and recipes so that you can learn how easy it is to meal plan, too.

We have made dinner an important time for our family and I hope to help you do the same.

It has been said that kids and teens who eat dinner with the family at least 3 times a week:

  • Have stronger family bonds
  • Perform better at school
  • Exhibit fewer behavioral problems
  • Are less likely to engage in bad activities (smoking, drugs, sex, drinking)
  • Are more likely to eat healthier
  • Are less likely to have excessive weight gain

I became a first time mom two years ago.  It has been a crazy ride but I wouldn’t change it for a thing. 

For fun, my husband and I play an MMORPG (basically it’s an online role playing game with lots of people) in our spare time.  I’m obsessed with The Office, The Big Bang Theory, Gilmore Girls, and That 70’s Show.
