Sheet Pan Nachos

Sheet pan nachos are a quick appetizer, snack, or dinner idea that everyone will love.

Sheet pan nachos are the perfect way to make nachos for the whole family or for a crowd.

I make them with various toppings depending on what I have on-hand. Sometimes I go all out and sometimes we eat them very basic.

The topping possibilities are endless.

For the base, you can use anything from tortilla chips to other types of chips like Doritos or Fritos. You can also try French fries or tater tots. Tip: If you use something like French fries or tater tots, cook them all the way before adding the cheese and melting it in the oven.

I used ground beef for this recipe but any type of protein would work. Chicken, steak, pork, or no meat at all.

nacho toppings

I like to have melted cheese on my nachos with either melted shredded cheese or creamy nacho cheese.

Sheet pan nachos are great for being able to do multiple types of nachos to please everyone. Not everyone loves the same toppings. You can make one half different than the other or do several different types on one pan.

If I’m making nachos for our family (not for a party), I will melt the cheese on the chops and then go ahead and plate each serving. Then I can add the toppings and it looks like the picture below. It’s easier to keep the toppings on when you only have to transfer the chips and cheese.

I usually use a wide spatula to pick up and transfer a group of chips onto a plate. It’s ok if it’s not perfect. Once the toppings are added, no one will see the bottom.
