Prep Time 10 minutes
Marinating 1 day

Ingredients

  • 1 bag grapes red or green
  • 1 bottle liquor
  • 2 tbsp sugar plus or minus

Instructions

  1. Take the grapes off of the vine, clean them by running under water or using a fruit cleaning solution, and place them in a bowl.
  2. Pour enough liquor in the bowl to cover the grapes completely. I prefer wine or champagne but any liquor will work. Marinate covered in the fridge for 24 hours or up to 2 days.
  3. Right before serving, drain the liquor off of the grapes and coat in a thin layer of sugar. Toss the grapes to coat evenly. Tip: You don't have to waste the alcohol. Drain into a cup or bowl and drink :)
  4. Serve as soon as possible after sugaring.

Recipe Notes

  • If kids will be present at your place of serving these grapes, it's good to make a sign or indication that they contain liquor.  You could also make a separate batch for the kids by tossing them in sugar only, obviously skipping on the alcohol.
