Wedding cake frosting is sweet, creamy deliciousness.

This recipe is quick and easy using a white boxed cake mix and homemade frosting.

Nothing beats a wedding cake, especially the cake frosting.

Wedding cakes are usually some of the best tasting and most beautiful cakes you’ll come across. It’s highlighted at weddings and usually costs a pretty penny.

The best part is… you can make the yummy frosting at home without the major cost of a bakery cake.  You can also use it to top cupcakes, other flavored cakes, cookies, and more.

My husband is obsessed with white cake and white frosting.  It’s his absolute favorite so I make this recipe a lot.

Making the Cake

I made a white cake mix from Pillsbury and followed the directions on the box for a 13×9” pan. If you make a round, two-layer cake, I would double the frosting recipe.  I’m always asked how I make my cakes so moist and delicious.  I just follow the box directions.  I use Duncan Hines or Pillsbury brands.  Even a restaurant I worked for used boxed cake mix for one of their cakes.

The Frosting

An important part of this recipe is the heavy cream.  I think it gives the frosting a lighter texture.  If you don’t have heavy cream, milk will work fine.  It just won’t be as light and fluffy.  It’s also important to beat the frosting for 3 minutes with a mixer on medium to high speed.  This helps with giving it a lighter texture as well.

Frosting leftovers should be stored in the refrigerator.  I usually let it come to room temperature and give it a quick mix before I spread or pipe it.

What at is the best flavor of wedding cake you’ve ever tasted?
