Halloween Mummy Meatloaf: Scare the kids with this easy, fun Halloween dinner.

Oh Halloween Mummy Meatloaf… this might be one of the creepiest dinners we’ve ever had lol

They were so fun to make and the kids (and adults) thought they were a hit.

These took just a few extra minutes of prep time than my normal meatloaf.

You can use your normal meatloaf recipe (I use ground beef, egg, onion, oats, ketchup, salt, pepper, and garlic powder) for these crazy heads.  I used 2 pounds of ground beef and split them into the 4 mummies.

Cut onions for the eyes and teeth, brush with ketchup, and wrap in pieces of bacon.

Aren’t they super creepy looking?  They got even better after they were cooked.

I don’t know what it was, maybe the bacon wrapped around the meatloaf, but everyone thought this was the best meatloaf I’ve ever made.

I used all of the same ingredients I always use so I think that bacon really adds flavor and moisture to the beef as it cooks.

Here are the final mummy meatloaves!!!  I served ours with twice baked potatoes.

I love making dinners fun, especially around the holidays.  These Halloween Mummy Meatloaves definitely fit the bill.

What does your family do to make dinner more fun?
