Amazon is a great place to find the most flattering, affordable mom swimsuits.
Finding the right swimsuit can be hard for anyone. Add on tummy issues after having a baby and it can feel impossible.
I was on bed rest for months leading up to the birth of our son. This made me lose a lot of muscle in my stomach and left me with the sagging mom tummy. I also still haven’t lost all of the weight I want to lose so I just hate swimsuit season all around…. but I still want to be able to go to the pool/beach with my son.
So, I started looking for mom swimsuits on Amazon and found a few that I really like. I love having Amazon Prime (free trial link) so I get free shipping. Also, look for swimsuits that say “Free Returns”. I ordered several suits and then sent back the ones that didn’t work for me.
Here are the swimsuits that I kept. Plus i’m adding a few that I thought are really cute but wouldn’t work for me. Don’t forget the coverups. I have a couple of those, too. All of these are around $20-$30.
Polka Dot Body Shaping Swimdress– The polka dot pattern, dark colors, and gathered material across the stomach really hides your belly. This makes it a perfect mom swimsuit.
The black lace tankini is my favorite. I wore it on our last cruise. It was great to wear while my son played in the splash pad. The loose material kept my stomach hidden and also kept me cool.
The black pompom coverup was a cute addition to both of my swimsuits.
The black t shirt dress coverup was my absolute favorite. Not only is it light and cool for the hot weather, it can also be worn as a casual dress.
Black and white striped sporty tankini– It was more the bottoms on this one that I didn’t like for my legs. I wanted more coverage. It’s great to hide your stomach with the loose material in the front. Lots of other color options available.
Blue/Cream coverup– I love this coverup because it can be worn with a swimsuit but you can also get more wear out of it with a casual outfit. Lots of different colors and patterns.
Green one piece mesh front– This one doesn’t hide a mom belly as much as the other choices but still a cute swimsuit for the right person. I love the mesh detail in the front.
Pin up one piece backless swimsuit– This was my favorite choice that I really wanted to work but it just didn’t on me. Again, it was more the bottom where I wanted more coverage. Several more designs and colors available.
Racer bikini with high waist– These bottoms have the high waist paired with a separate top. Some of the top options are shorter than the one pictured.
Of course, there are hundreds, if not thousands more swimsuits available to look through. These are just my top picks that I tried on.
Remember: Look for the indication that free returns are accepted. That is a lifesaver when buying clothing online!
If you are looking for less coverage, I love the swimsuits at Dottie Couture Boutique. Use my code Coffee20 to get 20% off your order. I buy almost all of my clothes and shoes from them. Love their clothing.
